Our Team.
My name is Gianfranco Gazzetti, Inspector of the Sovrintendenza and President of the association Gruppo Archeologico Romano, I have always had a passion for archaeology that I want and love to transmit. On the day you will also be greeted by Daniele Buscella, manager and creator of the event, Eleonora, Claudio, Giulia and Federico Gentile, archaeologists.
Gruppo Archeologico Romano is an association of volunteering for the natural and cultural heritage born in 1963 from an idea by Ludovico Magrini to safeguard and enhance our territory. The activities of the association include: Archaeological research (excavations and documentation of materials); Training with specific courses; Learning through guided visits; Travels for cultural education.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Gruppo Archeologico Romano.
This project, called "Archaeologist for a Day", wants to open archaeology to the public. The idea, quite simply, is to get common people involved in our dig. In doing so, we will allow everybody to get a first hand experience in the daily job of an archaeologist and help funding our projects.
